Title : Comic - Titan Quest - Take 1
Yeah, worked all day on this one and presonally I am very proud of myself. I think it looks really cool.
Had some difficulty deciding what to do this week, but thankfully I discovered Titan Quest and it inspired me.
The game is really spectacular to behold and feels very comfortable to play. The hud is simple and the skills are straight forward. Tried it multiplayer with my brothers and some friends and had a great time. Custom scenario's are a bit buggy, but I am sure they will fix it in the next patch.
So if you have some time and you in the mood for a good game, go grab yourself a copy of Titan Quest. In the mean while enjoy the comic.
PS. The reason I keep saying "Take 1" for my comic strips about games, is bacause I plan to do more about the specific game :)

New comic is up and I enjoyed making this one. I hope everyone else likes it.
Cheated on the smoking thing this weekend...had about 8-10 smokes since Friday. I am weak, I know.
But cutting down from a pack a day to 8 for an entire weekend is a good drop :)

Title : Smoking is not for pissies
Have you ever made a very important choice in your life and regretted it an hour later. I hate it when that happens. Had my last sigarette before I came to work this morning and I am already losing my mind. I hope it gets better or I am not gonna make it.
On a lighter note, I finished the first 2 blocks for this weeks comic already and its only Thursday, so maybe I can get it up before Monday again. As always, subscribed readers will know the second the comic is up.
Also, I have negotiated sponsorred hosting! Will be moving my site their pretty soon and you know what that means...I can really splash out! Better quality comics, more sketches and maybe later if I have time a real dinamic website with an admin tool to manage my content instead if editing the HTML everytime I change or post something.
But thats is still some way off...

Title : Comic Draw Style and general rants
After looking around and comparing comics between different sources I have decided to go back to black borders. The coloured borders do actually make the images look out of focus. I will however try to start using more detail. Yes this will be more time consuming, but I want my comic to look the best I can possibly make it look. I am also going to try and draw more sketches that I can load on the sketches page and take the old ones on there down.
On a more personal note, I have been getting some questions about the characters in the strips. One in specific was : "So do alot of people in your office smoke?" The answer is yes, most of us do. But, 3 of us have decided to try and quit, so here's hoping. Perhaps you'll see a comic or two about it :)

Well, I worked till 2:00 AM last night to get the comic done before I go away for the weekend. Tried some new bordering method and I think it turned out rather well. I like it :)
The new strip is about my boss, so I hope he likes it. If he doesn't like it, the strip just might become reality.

Ok, haven't posted for a few days. I will try to get the new comic up this weekend but I will be going away for the weekend so it might be Monday night.
Things are a little more quite at work atm. but its probably just the calm before the storm. Nothing really interesting this week. I did see Superman returns and loved every second of it. I strongly recomment you go see it if you have not already.

Title : Comic - Introducing Monkeyman!
As promised, the new comic is up an entire day early. And, its a double row comic to boot!
I tried out a new way of colouring, and on advice from a reader, added no blurry picture backgrounds but kept everything flat colour to fit in better with the characters. I showed the strip to my brother before putting it up and he thought it was funny.
Then I showed it to my wife and she was like..."er...whats he doing?". So I hope everyone finds it as funny as I thought it was :)

Also, I have posted my site URL in the prophecy forums. As my site starts to take shape I will gradually start telling more and more people about it.
This site will slowly grow with the help of my readers.

Well, I finally got around to doing a nice character profile of myself.
Took me a while cause I have to look good you know, being the artist and all :)

Haven't been working so late this week so I am trying to get some rest in while I still can.

So, its Saturday morning and I'm at work again. Yup, worked till 9 last night, yes 9:00PM on a Friday night and here I am again.
But thats not why I am posting. I have a nice picture to post...
Being a ruf week, I have seen Coenie very upset at some stages so I got one of my little sketches I did and gave it some colour.
Thought it would maybe cheer him up just a little bit.
Did a little side profile of Coenie who's a little upset...enjoy :)

Title : Two posts today...whats wrong?
I am tired, fed up...in good old Afrikaans...GATVOL. Tired of clients, tired of problems, servers, ip's, networks, project managers the whole lot.
Life can just never be simple. My friends here feel the same, we cannot take much more of this abuse. Man was not made to sit and rot in a stuffy office with project managers and demanding clients breathing down your neck for 12 hours a day.
My friends have been going through the site and pointing out spelling errors etc. so I have fixed the ones we could find. Also, I will now add the time to the posted date.

Title : First comic strip up.
Well the first comic is up! I hope you enjoy it.
I am still practicing and my technique will improve with time so bare with me. I actually did the two characters above after I did the first strip and they already look a lot better to me so I am confident that I can get the strips to look better and better with each try.
Check it out in the comic section...ENJOY!!!
PS. Internet Explorer SUCKS!!! Had to find a javascript hack for the 24bit png's to render correctly.

Title : Welcome to my website.
First of all thanks to Bluedrop for the hosting space.
Well, its been really hectic around work the past few weeks so I am really glad I finally got a few minutes to finish the site. I also finished the first comic strip and have a few nice character designs. (Like the 2 gentlemen gracing us with their presence above.
So whats this all about you may ask? Well, see this as my personal blog and a place to tell all the funny stories that happen here at the office. The characters are all based on my co-workers and myself. As I design them I will post their profiles and some interesting information about them on the character page.
I work for a software company in sunny South Africa as a senior Software Developer. We work mostly on automotive software and have some pretty big clients messing us around all day. Things get pretty tense around the office sometimes and as a result we tend to find ourselves in some funny situations.
Yes, we all love GAMES. So a lot of the comic strips will be about the games we love and hate. But there are so many game based comics out there, why another one? Well, I try to tell the stories from the view points of the people who work here with me everyday and maybe even give some idea of how we South Africans experience games and technology.
